- I sent the info from the 1st page of the 'Live Account Application' form but I did not receive an e-mail with the code word to continue filling the 2nd page, what do I do?
Sometimes spam programs may identify our emails as spam. It may help if you change the setting of your spam detection programs. You may try to complete the application form again indicating another email address. If for some reason you cannot complete the application form online, it is possible to download the application form in .pdf format and complete it offline which you could then print, sign and send to us via email, fax or post.
- Do I have to deposit funds from the bank account I specified in the account application form?
Yes. However, if you change your bank account number and notify our Back Office department you will be able to deposit funding from another account opened in your name.
- Is there a fee for depositing funds?
No, Alpari UK Limited does not charge anything for depositing funds. You may pay a fee to your bank for a bank transfer and if you are depositing from outside the EU, Barclays (our bank) may charge a fee of approximately 6 GBP per transaction.
- Is there a fee for withdrawing funds?
No, Alpari UK Limited does not charge anything for withdrawing your funds. However, we will relay the costs we pay our bank onto our clients. For a same day payment the cost is 15 GBP (or equivalent) per transaction and for a three day payment the cost is 0.35 GBP (or equivalent) per transaction.
- What do I do if I want to withdraw my money?
You need to complete our withdrawal form and send it to our Back Office department (via email or fax). Your money will be transferred to the bank account you specified in the withdrawal form. Please note that the bank account must be in your name.
- Can I withdraw my money if I have an open position(s)?
Yes, you can. However at the moment of payment, your Free Margin must exceed the amount specified in the withdrawal instruction including all payment charges. Free margin is calculated as Equity less Necessary Margin (required to maintain an open position). If your do not have sufficient free margin in your trading account we will not carry out the withdrawal request until you submit a corrected withdrawal form and/or close the open positions in your account.
- In which currencies can I place a deposit in my trading account?
You can deposit money with us in USD, EUR, GBP, CHF or JPY. If you have an account in USD but transfer funding in EUR, the Euros you have sent us will be converted into US Dollars by Alpari (UK) at the prevailing inter-bank price at the time. It is possible to have trading accounts in USD, GBP, EUR, CHF or JPY.
- Can I deposit money using E-gold, or other similar Internet payments?
No. In accordance with our anti-money laundering rules we do not accept anonymous payments. We will only accept bank transfers.
- Do you pay interest on the funds in my trading account?
No
- Will you close my live account if at some point it has a zero account balance?
No, we will not. You can have a functioning live account with a zero account balance.
